About Us

The Furgh is a self-service dog wash located in South Park, PA. We offer a clean, convenient, and affordable way to keep your furry friend clean and healthy.

Self-service dog wash bays: Our self-service dog wash bays are equipped with everything you need to get your furry friend clean, including shampoo, conditioner, and towels. We also offer a variety of grooming supplies, such as brushes, combs, and ear cleaners.

Professional grooming services: If you’re not comfortable washing your dog yourself, we also offer professional grooming services. We have an experienced groomer who can give your dog a bath, brush, and trim.

Fear Free Culture: We offer bathing suites in addition to other amenities to keep your pets safe, happy and comfortable.

Dog-friendly amenities: We know that dogs need to stay hydrated, so we offer free water for all of our guests. This month we also have a free gift with any purchase.

Convenient location: We’re located 1.6 miles from the dog park in the heart of SouthPark, making us easy to get to from anywhere in the city.

Meet Our Team

Megan Datsko

Meet Megan Datsko, founder, owner, and operator. Prior to becoming a businesswoman, Megan has a very broad resume as a CVT/RVT/LVT practicing in PA, WV, and FL for just shy of 20 years. She founded The FURgh in 2023, with the intention of helping pets and providing education and valuable resources to the community. She wanted to create a space for people to not only bathe their dogs, but also create a fun, positive, and fear-free environment. Megan is a dog mom, cat mom, and adventurer. When not at the shop, she enjoys rock climbing, water sports, engaging with friends, music, and being outside with her best friend, Cole (who is the official mascot of the FURgh and her second business, the FURgh box). Megan has big dreams with the growth of the FURgh in the future with adding in additional community needed pet services. She is very excited for what the future has in store, and can’t wait to meet you!

Cole Datsko

Meet Cole Datsko, co-owner, co-founder, and co-operator. Prior to opening the FURgh, Cole has been a loyal companion since being adopted as puppy in April 2018. When not busy being a 2 brand mascot and shop dog, he enjoys being outside with his mom, Walkies, hiking, running with his best buddy Angela, water sports, and loves his chew bones! Cole is also an avid swimmer and dock diver, with his longest dock dive being an impressive 18 feet! This friendly boy enjoys meeting and making new friends, and loves to talk to everyone who passes through our doors. Surprisingly, much to everyone’s disbelief- his DNA test states he has 0 lab in him. Standing at 34 inches tall weighing 90lbs, he has 6 different breeds in his makeup….can you guess what they are?

Furgh is amazing. The basic price includes choice of multiple shampoos which are automatically dispensed through the hose, towels, snacks, dryer, etc. Oh, yes and also included in the incredibly reasonable price are the loving services of owner Megan, a trained and experienced vet tech, who knows her dogs and treats them with the love and respect they deserve. OK, so you can tell that we (Sharley's parents and Sharley) had a great experience at the Furgh. And Sharley is a new color and smells a lot better, too. LOL. Thanks, Megan. You are the best!

Bring your furry friends down to the furgh. It’s wonderful place to self wash your dog. The owner Megan is always there to welcome you with a friendly face and Cole will meet you with a wagging tail. There’s a wide range of treats and toys you can buy your furry friends to put a smile on their faces.

My dog Cooper and I recently visited the Furgh. This quaint little store had all that I needed for my sidekick and I’m very particular for him. I give him nothing but the best and I found all I needed for reasonable prices in this crazy market. Less than chain stores. I met the owner Megan who was nothing but professional and approachable and gave my pup Cooper the love he deserved. We’ll be back again soon as we made a grooming appointment and I’m excited to see the results. Can I give 6 stars?

Megan hosted a Halloween event and my dogs loved it so we decided to check them out for the self service dog wash and it was awesome. My 4 dogs loved having our own area with a gate so I could let them walk around while I bathed the others. And she was so helpful cleaned one of my dogs ears and clipped my dogs nails. My dogs especially loved the pup cups. I recommend The Furgh to everyone I know in the area!
